Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Banana and oatmeal cookies stuffed with delicious chocolate chips. Use splenda for a more healthy, low carb, recipe. You may also replace butter with applesauce or yogurt for low fat cookies. Delicious with a tasty Fruit Salad.

  • 2 ripe bananas, peeled and mashed
  • 1 cup brown sugar (or splenda)
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F
  2. In a large bowl, mix banana with egg, butter, sugar and flour.
  3. Add the rest of the dry ingredients (except chocolate chips) slowly while stirring constantly.
  4. Mix the chocolate chips into the cookie dough.
  5. Spoon the cookie mixture onto a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes.
