Hawaiian Style Beef Stew Recipe
A hearty beef stew with potatoes and a strong garlic taste. You could replace beef with chicken or pork cubes for a different recipe. Add some pineapple chunks for a sweeter taste.

- 2 pounds cubed beef
- 6 minced garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 6 potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon flour
- White rice
- In a large cooking pot, heat some olive oil and brown beef cubes on each sides for 10 minutes.
- Add the tomato paste and garlic, then add enough water to cover the beef. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add the potatoes and simmer for 30 more minutes.
- Add the rest of the ingredients gradually and bring to a boil again, then reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
- Serve on a bed of white rice.
