Hawaiian Style Beef Stew Recipe

Posted by admin

A hearty beef stew with potatoes and a strong garlic taste. You could replace beef with chicken or pork cubes for a different recipe. Add some pineapple chunks for a sweeter taste.

Preparation: 10 minutes

Cooking: 1 hour 25 minutes

  • 2 pounds cubed beef
  • 6 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 6 potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • White rice
  1. In a large cooking pot, heat some olive oil and brown beef cubes on each sides for 10 minutes.
  2. Add the tomato paste and garlic, then add enough water to cover the beef. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. Add the potatoes and simmer for 30 more minutes.
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients gradually and bring to a boil again, then reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
  5. Serve on a bed of white rice.
