Homemade Banana Nut Cookies Recipe
Banana and nut cookies stuffed with delicious chocolate chips. Use splenda instead of sugar for a low carb recipe. Replace butter with applesauce or fat free yogurt for a low fat, healthy recipe.

- 2 ripe bananas, peeled and mashed
- 1 cup brown sugar (or splenda)
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 egg
- 2 cups oatmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup ground walnuts
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- In a large bowl, mix banana with egg, butter, sugar and flour.
- Add the rest of the dry ingredients (except walnuts) slowly while stirring constantly.
- Mix the ground walnuts into the cookie dough.
- Spoon the cookie mixture onto a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes.
