Homemade Pear Walnut Salad Recipe

A tasty salad with romaine lettuce, sliced pear and roasted walnuts. Use balsamic or cider vinegar for a better taste. You could top with chicken breast or sliced boiled eggs for a protein rich salad or complete meal.

  • 5 cups romaine lettuce
  • 1/4 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/2 cup sliced canned or fresh peeled pear
  • 1/4 cup roasted walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons olive or canola oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons splenda
  • 1/4 cup sliced red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup sliced white mushrooms
  • Salt & Pepper
  1. Mix all the ingredients in a large salad bowl.
