Easy Meringue Cake Recipe
You will enjoy the smooth textute of this homemade meringue layer cake. Make sure the merigue icing is thick enough and don't pack the ingredients. Eat warm and top with heavy cream.

- 3 egg yolks
- 3 egg whites
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup shortening
- Preheat oven at 350° F
- Mix the flour, sugar, shortening, salt, baking powder, egg yolks and stir thoroughly
- Pour the mix in a large deep pan
- Whisk the egg whites for a couple minutes while gradually adding the brown sugar and vanilla essence
- Pour the meringue over the first mix, spread gently
- Bake for 20-25 minutes
