Easy Port Wine Liver Stew Recipe
A quick and simple liver stew recipe. You will love the taste if you enjoy eating calf liver. Could be cooked using chicken hearts, chicken breast, pork loin, cubed or sliced beef or veal.

- 3/4 lb calf liver, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 2 medium onions, diced
- 2 medium size zucchinis, diced
- 2 1/2 cups roast beef sauce
- 1/4 cup Port Wine, or to taste
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups cooked rice
- In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, cook the vegetables for 2 minutes.
- Add the liver liver slices and cook for 3 more minutes.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and cook for an additional 15 minutes, or until the liver is thoroughly cooked.
- Serve the stew over a thick bed of rice.
