Easy Salmon Pot Pie Recipe

A delicious salmon pot pie recipe. Serve this delightful fish pie with a tasty bechamel sauce and mashed potatoes. Use fresh atlantic salmon instead of canned salmon for best results.

  • 2 (9 inch) unbaked pie crusts
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 (6 ounce) cans salmon, drained and mashed
  • 3 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 450 F
  2. Melt butter in a pan, over medium heat, and cook the celery, red bell pepper and onion for 5 minutes
  3. Mix with the rest of the ingredients in a large bowl
  4. Pour the mix in your bottom 9 inch pastry
  5. Cover with the top pastry and pierce top with a knife
  6. Bake for 10 minutes at 450 F, then reduce heat at 350 and bake for another 20 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
