Tuscan Beef Stew Recipe

An Italian-style beef stew with white wine. Beef may be replaced with chicken or pork, for a different recipe. You may also use red wine. Serve with potatoes, carrots and a fresh bread slice.

Cooking: 2 hours 20 minutes

  • 2 pounds cubed beef
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cup sliced onion
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablepoons basil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • Salt & Pepper
  1. In a large cooking pot, brown the meat in butter over medium heat for 10 minutes.
  2. Add the vegetables and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the liquid ingredients, then combine flour gradually while strirring.
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients and bake at 350F for 2 hours.
